Woodford Home Care & Support Services was developed in 1994 by Helen Wilcox to enable older people, as well as adults with a range of
illnesses and disabilities, to remain at home safely and confidently.

Following a referral either from Social Services or directly from the community, an Initial Assessment of the Service User’s needs is undertaken by a qualified Senior Care Worker before the delivery of care begins.  In an emergency, we can make a provisional assessment and begin delivering a basic care package immediately, making the full assessment at the earliest opportunity.  Our response rate can vary from one hour to seven days dependent on priority. An individual Care Plan is developed with the active involvement of the
Service User, and is regularly reviewed with them or their advocates.  A care plan can only be amended by the Registered Care Manager or Senior Carer.  Certain amendments may require the consent of the Service User’s doctor or other professional.
