Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)
What does it do?
The main roles of PALS are to:
- provide confidential on-the-spot advice and support to patients, their families and carers
- provide information on NHS services
- listen to concerns, suggestions or queries
- help sort out problems quickly on behalf of staff as well as patients, their families and carers
- signpost to other sources of help
- act as a catalyst for change and improvement.
