What does it do?

Birmingham Citizens Advice Bureau provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to local residents. We advice on
peoples' rights and responsibilities, and can provide information on a wide range of issues.

The service is provided for anyone from the Birmingham area to obtain advice.

What it costs:

Our service is free of charge, confidential, independent and impartial. We won’t judge you, persuade you or tell you what you should do – we will listen, explain all the available options to you and support you in the course of action you decide to take.

Our telephone advice line is staffed by a dedicated team of volunteers and paid staff. It provides a first point of contact for information and guidance on a wide range of matters.

If you need more in-depth advice on, for example, debt or welfare benefits, telephone advice staff will book an appointment for you with an advisor specialising in that area.

Please note that from 2 October 2017, we no longer offer a drop in advice service at our city centre office in Corporation Street.
