Fold Staying Put - Home Improvement Agency Service

Expert advice to help you access NIHE Disabled Facilities Grant

What does it do?

More and more people are choosing to remain at home to retain their independence and/or remain close to their family, friends and support network. FOLD can assist you in your application to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for a grant to adapt or repair your home through our Staying Put service.

The Staying Put service provided by Fold Housing Association aims to assist older and/or people with disabilities by offering them free practical advice and support to adapt their homes through the Housing Executive Grants Scheme.

We can advise you on the grants process, help with completing the grant documentation, help you obtain an architect, help you to decide on and arrange a building contractor and provide technical advice or guidance required when your work is onsite.

One of our experienced Housing Advisors can call out to your home to discuss your grant application with you and will provide you with individually tailored advice and assistance throughout the grants process, from start to finish or at any stage of the grant application. However please note that we do not supervise any building works onsite.

By making homes a safer and more comfortable environment, thousands of people in Northern Ireland each year are avoiding the need for residential care or prolonged hospitalization thus remaining in the home of their choice.
