What does it do?

Men's Club

Our Men's Club meets on the first Friday of every month between 12.00 and 2.00pm at The Day Centre in Banstead. This club is aimed specifically at our male clients who would like to get together with other men in a similar position to themselves and enjoy various activities, a glass of beer and a light lunch.

If you'd like to come along to our next meeting please contact the office. There is a small charge of £5.00 to cover costs.

Chavecroft & Pepperpot Lunch & Tea Clubs

Older people in the area regularly meet socially on alternative Wednesdays and occasional Thursdays
at Chavecroft Sheltered Housing in Tadworth.

Most members are brought to the club by our Age Concern minibus although a few live nearby and walk to the meeting.
We have the use of a large comfortable lounge and kitchen.
Currently there are 20 members and 6 volunteers including Jane, our cook.
Special occasions are celebrated such as Christmas, Easter, Jubilees and 'noughtie' birthdays.

Club activities
These include a raffle and bingo. A knitting club is being set up, and musical entertainment is arranged several times a year.
Outings are arranged to local venues... Lunch at Heathside Hotel Burgh Heath is very popular, as is our annual visit to Lower Morden Garden Centre for Christmas shopping and roast turkey lunch.

We also run a second lunch club at Chavecroft called Pepperpot. This meets 4 times a year and is aimed specifically at our elderly clients who find it really difficult to get out and about. As such this club is by invitation only. If you, or a family member feel that you could benefit from this then please contact the office for more details.

Community Garden for the Elderly

Our Garden open for business

Our garden has been open for a while now and we welcome visitors on Tuesdays 10.30am - 12.30pm and Thursday afternoons between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. If you need help with transport please contact the office.

We have been so pleased with all of the produce and flowers that we produce. The garden is entirely organic and we even had enough fruit and veg to sell at Banstead Village Day.

If you would like to be part of this exciting new venture please contact the office for more information. Please also get in touch if you know any elderly people who you think might like to join us
