The Age Concern Day Care Centre provides day care facilities for older people with various physical and mental health needs or who may feel isolated and lonely. We offer door-to-door transport facilities, nutritious hot meals and activities to cater for various abilities and conditions. The centre offers an opportunity for valuable respite for families and carers and provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment where older people are cared for and can socialise with other companions whilst under the protective eye of the highly trained staff team.

The Centre takes a personalised approach and in the first instance will discuss their needs with the individual, their families or carers and what they would like to gain from attending the service. This also allows staff to ascertain the amount of support the individual will require to ensure that they can enjoy the most positive experience whilst attending the Centre.

A comprehensive support plan is then developed and agreed with the client and relatives and/or carer detailing the clients’ specific requirements including preferences, objectives and any personal care requirements and all support plans include a personal risk assessment to maximise client care.

The Age Concern Day Care Centre offers much needed respite for families and / or carers in an inspirational environment for older people and those with various physical and mental health needs who are looking to make new friends and want to continue enjoying a fulfilling life. Our centre offers a range of engaging activities, outings and entertainment from arts and crafts classes to gardening, dancing or simply relaxing with friends over a game of scrabble or dominoes.

The facilities at our centre include a spacious lounge and activity room, large dining room, fully-equipped kitchen and a lovely enclosed garden looking out on to open fields. The Centre also has on-site hairdressing and chiropodist salons and offers door to door transportation provided by our own minibus and drivers.
