Community Alarms
What does it do?
A community alarm is fitted to a person's home telephone and they are given an emergency button to wear around their neck or wrist. You can watch our short film to find out more.
In an emergency, the person can press their alarm button. The alarm then uses the person's telephone to call our control centre, any time of the day or night.
Our staff will answer the call and be able to speak to the person who pressed their alarm. If the caller needs help, one of our staff will go out to see them. We can send for the emergency services if necessary.
