We are an alternative office for the DWP so can issue and help you to complete your claim for Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit or Carers Allowance.

Are you, or a family member or friend are struggling with every day tasks, like getting washed and dressed, getting to the bathroom, getting up and downstairs, getting in or out of bed?  You may be struggling with breathlessness, unsteadiness, dizzy spells or a whole range of other illnesses.  It is certainly worth giving our Information and Advice Manager, Jane Archer, a ring to discuss this - she can be contacted on 02380841199.
We can help you claim Attendance Allowance (if you are over 65). If you are struggling financially we can let you know whether you would be entitled to Pension Credit, and if you are, help you to complete the form. We can also let you know whether you would be entitled to Carers Allowance, and help you apply. You would of course need to make an appointment for this as some forms can take between 1 1/2 and 2 hours to complete.

We can provide you with information on caring for your eyes, going into hospital, healthy living, managing incontinence, avoiding falls, care at home, adapting your home, choosing care homes and many other topics.   We also have information on some of the local groups that we can put you in touch with.

LEGAL
We are not legally qualified here, but we do have information on topics such as; Power of Attorney, looking after someone else's affairs, wills and estate planning, your consumer rights and more.  So if you need any information on these topics please pop in and pick up one of our brochures.

LOCAL TRADESMEN
We keep a list of referenced tradespeople in various disciplines including;
handymen, plumbers, electricians, painters and decorators, gardeners, builders and lots more besides
