Apply for housing

What does it do?

Horsham District Council is a stock transfer authority – therefore any properties it is able to allocate to applicants on the Housing Register will be made available through its registered provider partners (housing associations).

It is anticipated that approximately 200 social or affordable rented properties will become available per annum in 2014/5 and 2015/16 for the Council to allocate to households on its register and it is estimated that 500 households in housing need will be added to the Housing Register per annum.

The Council's Allocations Policy sets out how it intends to make the best use of void properties to create mixed, balanced, living and working communities whilst maintaining a commitment to supporting vulnerable people and working households on a low income in housing need.
