What does it do?

In principle, a Taxicard entitles you to subsidised travel by taxi anywhere within London.

There are some variations in the way the Taxicard scheme works in different boroughs.

Who it is for?

London residents who have serious mobility impairments or are severely sight impaired.

Where it is available?

Local service (Ealing, Enfield, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston upon Thames, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Sutton, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Wandsworth, Westminster, Barking & Dagenham, Barnet, Bexley, Brent, Bromley, Camden, City of London, Croydon, Merton, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond upon Thames).

What it costs:

Taxicard costs
You generally pay a flat fare of £2.50 per trip, plus anything above the subsidised amount. In most boroughs, Taxicard trips are subsidised up to:
£10.30 for trips during the day
£11.30 for trips at weekends
£12.80 for trips at night
For example if you make a journey on a weekday that costs £14.00 on the meter, £10.30 of it would be subsidised.
