The Rosebank Centre

Dementia care day centre

What does it do?

Our day care provides the highest standard of services. All our staff work to ensure that we treat every individual with respect and we tailor our services to ensure people’s personal beliefs, lifestyle preferences and cultural needs are upheld in the community.

We are flexible to adapt our services should your needs change. With your help, we will develop a personalised programme of care to suit you and your carer

Who it is for?

The day care service will provide 20 places
per day for service users with high
dependency needs. This includes:
• Younger people with dementia (under 65)
• Older people with significant cognitive
• and physical needs
• Older people with physical needs

Where it is available?

Local service (Fenland).

What it costs:

We anticipate that many of those referred to The Rosebank Centre will be eligible for day care financial support from adult services.

Adult services will assess your needs and eligibility for this service. The cost is assessed on an individual basis and will be discussed with you by the care manager.

For those who are not eligible for adult services funding, a fee which includes the cost of a meal and transport to and from the centre can be negotiated.

How to access or apply for it:

The service core times will operate between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm with some flexibility in these times to be allowed on prearranged occasions with individual service users.

The service will be open Monday to Friday providing 20 places per day. Transport may be available for service users who adult services have agreed need assistance with getting to and from the scheme.

What to expect then:

We offer a wide range of individual activities that aim to stimulate memory and give enjoyment. These include:
• Providing support and stimulation in a relaxed and caring environment to promote well-being.
• Using person-centred care practices to ensure each person is treated as an individual.
• Encouraging pastoral visits from local clergy to enhance spiritual contemplation.
• Offering advice and support where appropriate and working closely with other professional agencies.
• Providing a diverse range of activities.
• Ensuring our staff are dedicated and fully trained to operate within our new, specially designed facilities.

The staff will also arrange access to the other services within the Housing with Care scheme eg library, shop, hair salon, restaurant and IT suite.
