What does it do?

Ditchburn Day Centre provides a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment where people can join in as much, or as little, as they choose to. It allows older people to continue to lead an independent life by providing choice, control, independence and dignity through the many activities and events provided. These promote self-esteem, self-fulfilment and give mental stimulation to help maintain confidence and independence.A cooked lunch and refreshments can be enjoyed and will provide the opportunity to spend quality time with others.

How to access or apply for it:

Older people are referred to the service through the social care team following an assessment. Self referrals can also be made for self-funding arrangements under certain circumstances.
