Help to adapt your home to live independently

What does it do?

Disrepair

If you rent your home and it is in a poor state of repair or lacks basic amenities such as a bath, toilet or sink, etc, the Council's Public Health and Licensing Department has powers to ensure that improvements are made so that your accommodation meets legal standards.

Who it is for?

Your current home may be unsuitable for your needs for a variety of reasons and, under certain circumstances, assistance may be available to address these issues, enabling you to remain in your home.
