We have a great team of volunteer drivers who can take you to a destination of your choice, which may be near or far. The drivers are reimbursed for their expenses at 45p per mile, from the drivers home to the pick up point, to the destination and back again. This is not a payment but simply to cover the petrol and car expense of the journey. This cost is met by the passenger.

We ask for as much notice as possible, at least one week, for your journey details, in order to try to find available drivers for you. We cannot guarantee that we will always be able to find an available driver for you.

We are looking for volunteer drivers and volunteers to help coordinate the scheme! All our drivers and coordinators are CRB checked.

The Watford Community Car Scheme is a car scheme for local people who are elderly or have a disability and would like to attend a doctors or hospital appointment or social engagement.
