Community Transport

What does it do?

We are a working partnership between Braintree District Council and Essex County Council providing transport for those living in our district who are eldery, frail, vulnerable, have a disability, are isolated, have a mobility difficulty or whose needs are not met by existing public transport services.

Volunteers undertake the majority of requests either in one of our six fully accessible 12 seater miniuses or in their own vehicle.

All services are subsidised

The Scheme is fifteen years old

Undertaking approximately 60,000 passenger journeys a year delivered by paid staff and

volunteers.
Trips include access to health related appointments, lunch and social clubs and shopping etc.
