Islington Community Transport has been helping the community in Islington to get out and about since it was founded in 1998 to provide community transport services in the borough. In 2006 we joined HCT Group and, operating out of their main Hackney Depot, we provide a range of high-quality transport for the community in Islington. Our services include:

Minibus hire – a low cost alternative: We provide community groups, clubs and non-profit organisations in Islington with a financially supported scheme to access cheap minibuses - Group Transport.

YourCar: A low cost, fully accessible alternative to minicab hire – designed to help people with disabilities or mobility difficulties where a regular minicab or taxi doesn’t meet all of their needs. Vehicles are fully wheelchair accessible and drivers are trained to be able to help their passengers from door to vehicle to door.

Minibus driver training: We provide Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS training, helping our community group members driver vehicles themselves, saving on having to hire a driver with their vehicle.

Scooter loan schemes: Working in partnership with several local authorities in London, we deliver a variety of innovative schemes that loan out or hire mobility scooters for people who would not otherwise be able to access them.
