Langsett Advice & Area Resource Centre (LAARC)

What does it do?

Offers advice in the following areas: benefits, employment, housing, consumer, tax, debt, relationship breakdown, etc. Home visits subject to limited resources. Helps with benefit reviews and represents at Appeal Tribunals. Premises also used for community work support and community transport contact. Has a second base at ZEST. Runs outreach sessions at St John's Vicarage and NU (Netherthorpe and Upperthorpe) Base. Also runs a free legal information session weekly, at Creswick Street. Self or any referral.

Contact the service on 0114 233 5198. : Tues 10:00 am-12.30pm, Thurs 1.30-4.30pm (general advice drop-in sessions), Wed 6.30-8pm (free legal advice) at Creswick Street.

The St Johns Advice Service is held at St Johns Church Vicarage Office, Walkley Lane
Sheffield on Mon 10am-12noon (drop-in advice session).

The Zest Advice session is run at ZEST, 18 Upperthorpe, on Tues & Fri 10am-12.30pm (advice sessions by appointment only, telephone after 9am on the morning you wish to attend on the mobile number provided) Mobile: 07794 110509, Tues & Fri 9-10am
