What does it do?

Alpha Community Care provides a wide range of personal, domestic and social support for vulnerable individuals over 18 years of age, living in their own homes who for whatever reason are unable to carry out the tasks independently.
  
Assistance with getting in and out of bed
       
Assistance with personal hygiene/care (washing, bathing/showering, dressing)
    
Support with continence care and management
  
Assistance with hydration and nutrition (preparing meals and drinks)

Assistance with mobility needs

Medication assistance (prompting and/or administering)
   
Assistance with domestic tasks (cleaning, laundry, bed changing/making, shopping)

Assistance to access the community (appointments, shopping, socialising)

Provide company and companionship

Provide respite care

Who it is for?

We provide care and support to adults both under and over 65 years of age to help them to continue to live in their own homes and maintain their independence.
Support to adults with dementia, mental health issues, physical or learning disabilities, sensory impairments and long term illness (including end of life) or recovering from illness is available, developing a person centred care plan, with the individuals full involvement which is tailored to meet each individuals needs.

Where it is available?

Local service (Hyndburn, Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale).

What it costs:

Care can be arranged from as little a one hour per week to 24 hours per day, with charges being identical with the local councils' fees which is currently £12.75 per hour (£6.85 per half hour).
