What does it do?

What is the Fit4Life Project?

Fit4Life is a two year programme sponsoring three very different exercises classes in the Shirley area. Classes are run by friendly and experienced instructors and are tailored for older people who would like the opportunity to become more physically active.

Fit4Life is suitable for people of all abilities; whether you are fit and active, have difficulty walking and getting around, or are worried about falling.

Why Fit4Life?

Research has shown that gentle exercise can benefit most people but also those living with arthritis, osteoporosis, Parkinson's, heart disease, heart disease, asthma, high blood pressure, depression to name but a few. General health and wellbeing can make a big difference to your quality of life, whatever your age.

What you will receive?

By participating in the Fit4Life classes you will be monitored for improvements to your physical movement and well as your general health and wellbeing. These measurements will help to demonstrate the real impact these classes have on older people's physical and mental wellbeing. Investing in your health

What it costs:

A suggested contribution of £1.50 towards the cost of running these classes is requested, payable each week.
