Eat Well Staffordshire
Eat Well StaffordshireWhat does it do?
Eat Well Staffordshire has seen, to date, over 265 clients and has trained over 60 volunteers, with new volunteers coming on board almost every week. We regularly hold successful training courses for volunteers, with volunteers also being given the opportunity of a free first aid course, free safeguarding and food safety courses (depending on their role).
Our befriending service is fully integrated into Eat Well Staffordshire, with some key volunteers providing support by telephone or in person to over 100 isolated older people.
The Eat Well Staffordshire team of volunteers and staff have recently been awarded the Age UK 2015 Partnership Award, part of the Age UK Volunteer Awards 2015. Pictured above are from left, Kate Gibbon, Karen Pepper, Nigel Barrett, Lucy Clayton, Laura Cherry, and Amanda Bancroft.
Well done to all!
