Day care
What does it do?
Our Care Centres offer a stimulating and enjoyable day out for local older people.
Activities are organised within our Care Centres with occasional trips out for those who want them.
A small daily attendance charge is made for these services.
They are open Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) every week. The cost to the client includes transport to and from the centres and a healthy lunch, and there are regular entertainments, activities and outings.
The staff are experience in the care and support of older people with mild to moderate dementia, and work closely with families, and health and social care professionals to provide a homely and supportive service. Each client is allocated a key worker who works with the client and their family to complete a detailed care plan that is regularly updated, noting individual preferences and needs. When appropriate, the staff welcomes the opportunity to attend and contribute to care reviews and CPA meetings.
In addition to day care, we offer a range of other personal support services. These include personal care, domestic assistance, residential care, and free advice and advocacy services.
