Carephone Home Safety Service

What does it do?

Our Carephone Home Safety Service uses 'Telecare' technology to help people live at home. This includes the familiar community alarm services that provide an emergency telephone response from your home to our centre and sensors that monitor and support daily living, such as fall detectors. We also have more sophisticated equipment like movement sensors. If the sensor does not pick up movement in your home, for example, you are unable to get out of bed or had a fall, the detector alerts the control centre.
