Home safety service

Home safety service

What does it do?

We aim to:

  • prevent and reduce accidents in the home
  • advise on preventing falls
  • arrange minor repairs and adaptations
  • fit grab and hand rails
  • create half steps
  • fit additional stair rails
  • secure trailing cables
  • secure loose carpets
  • fit smoke alarms
  • signpost to other services

Our case worker or handyperson will carry out a free comprehensive safety check. This includes a room-by-room survey to identify risks like a lack of stair rails, trailing wires and loose mats. We will tell you how you can improve the safety of your home.
