Dementia outreach service

Dementia outreach service in Canterbury

What does it do?

This free service provides one-to-one ongoing support, advice and information to the family or friends caring for someone living with dementia.

The support we give is agreed during a home visit, over the telephone or at our Centre.

We can help carers in many ways, whether its benefits advice, information about other services available, or the opportunity to talk to someone in confidence.

Age UK Canterbury provide events to bring together people who are in similar circumstances by hosting coffee mornings, lunches and Dementia Cafes. We also organise information days in which there are opportunities to meet with people from a variety of public and private sector organisations.
