  • Have a voice and ensure that it is heard

Our services – an overview

We have up to date information about services, benefits and issues that affect carers. We can also allocate a caseworker to address specific needs and issues and help to access counselling where appropriate.

We offer regular carers’ support groups across Calderdale and a varied range of activities and courses designed to give carers a break and improve their own health and wellbeing.

We support carers aged 18-25 and have a dedicated worker for Young Adult Carers. This service offers specific activities and support focused on the needs of the age group.

We work in partnership with Calderdale Council to provide Emergency Backup Plans and Carers Needs Assessments.

Calderdale Council offers a Carers Needs Fund grant to carers to enable them to have a break. This can be applied for once every three years. We work in partnership with the Council to offer this service.
