What does it do?

We meets every Thursday (48 weeks of the year) from 10.30am to 3.30pm at The Beaconsfield Hall, Shipton-u-Wychwood
The Wychwoods Day Centre provides places for up to 22 elderly people to meet once a week for 48 weeks of the year, where they could enjoy company, friendship, stimulating activities and a hot home-made meal in happy and secure surroundings.


Who it is for?

Elderly people living in the villages of: Ascott-under-Wychwood, Bould, Bruern, Fifield, Foscot, Idbury, Leafield, Lyneham, Milton-under-Wychwood and Shipton-under-Wychwood.

Where it is available?

Local service (West Oxfordshire).

Additional information:

We provide transport to and from the Beaconsfield Hall in Shipton; a hot, home-made midday meal; diabetics and other dietry requirements catered for; morning coffee and afternoon tea and cakes; weekly activities and entertainment. 
All activities are optional and include:
Board  and table games
Crosswords / word games
Bingo/ Quizzes
Musical entertainment
Arts, crafts, handicrafts
Library Service
Hand massage when available
Occasional outings / theatre visits
Easter and Christmas Bazaars
Christmas party
A short church service held once a month in the Hall.
Monthly communion Service for those who would like it
Regular outside speakers on a wide variety of subjects.
Mobile Clothing Retailer
We are always very glad to hear of or from anyone able to contribute towards such activities / entertainment.
