Council for Voluntary Service

What does it do?

We are here to provide support and information to Carers in the community throughout Burnley, Pendle & Rossendale, whatever their age, circumstances or ethnic background.

Caring situations may involve looking after someone with:
- Physical Disabilities
- Learning Disabilities
- Mental Health Problems
- Substance Misuse Problems
- Long term/cronic Illness
- Or someone who is elderly, ill or frail.

Caring can be a very difficult, demanding and all-consuming task, no matter how close they are to the person they care for.

Caring can affect their health making them tired, frustrated, stressed, angry and feeling guilty leaving them with no time for themselves.

Who it is for?

For carers who  spend a significant proportion of their life providing unpaid support to family or friends.
