Day Centre

Day Centre in Canterbury

What does it do?

The aim of our Day centre is to provide the opportunity to meet others in a social setting

The centre offers friendship and social interaction that encourage health and independence, this is recognised as being beneficial and can help prevent social isolation and early admission to hospital or residential care.

A lunch is cooked each day at the centre and transport can be provided. We run four minibuses that bring people to our centre each day, we do our best to cover Canterbury and the surrounding villages. A charge is made for the meal and transport, which most require for the service.

Over recent years we have developed and will continue to develop activities that involve people in physical and mental stimulation. This gives people greater choice and encouragement to get involved and, wherever possible, remain active.

We have a beautiful secure and secluded sensory garden for all to enjoy when the weather is good. We also have a Hair salon and Footcare clinic.
