Show more "Abbeyfield Newport was built by local ship builder Mr John Henry Carney in 1895-1896. It remained a family home until Abbeyfield purchased the building in 1992 and opened its door to its first residents in 1993.

Abbeyfield Newport, a retirement home offering sheltered housing is situated on the outskirts of Newport City Centre, just a short two minute walk away from the beautiful Belle View Park, with its original bandstand, that during the warmer weather entertains local residents with musical events.

We're in a great location, just a short bus ride away to Newport city centre with the new Friars Walk shopping centre where you'll find a wonderful selection of restaurants, theatres and bowling alley.

We have ten large beautiful and unique bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms, which are also suitable for couples. All of our rooms come unfurnished allowing you to bring your favourite pieces of furniture, trinkets and cherished photographs, to make it feel like home.

If you're looking to relax, spend some time on the beautiful raised decking area in the garden where you can enjoy a refreshing drink in the sunshine, catch up with loved ones or immerse yourself in a good book. For those looking for companionship, get to know other residents over a cup of coffee in our beautiful lounge.

We love to come together to share delicious home cooked meals in the communal dining room. It's the perfect opportunity to share stories about your day or your past with excellent company.

For added peace of mind and security for yourself and your loved ones, we have a 24/7 alarm system and a live in house manager. We also have laundry facilities that are available for you to use and Wi-Fi so you can stay in contact with your loved ones." Show less
