Show more "Abbeyfield House is well situated, near the centre of Brecon, with superb views towards the stunning Brecon Beacons. Built in the 1970's as a centre for young people with learning disabilities, the house was then purchased in 1997 by Abbeyfield Brecon Society.

Abbeyfield House is a very friendly community, in a safe and attractive setting. We have twelve residential flats created to provide comfortable retirement accommodation. Each of our flats have a separate living room/kitchenette, bedroom and en-suite shower room, and some flats are large enough for double occupancy, all flats on the first floor are served by a lift. Our flats come carpeted and unfurnished so that you can personalise it with your favourite pieces of furniture, photographs and trinkets to make it feel like home. Unfortunately, our flats are not suitable at this time for wheelchair users.

Residents make their own breakfasts in their flats whilst lunches and lighter evening meals are provided in the communal dining room. We have a laundry room and a bathroom on each of the two floors, together with a room for hairdressing and a library/quiet room. There is Wi-Fi access throughout Abbeyfield House so you will be able to use all your devices, develop your skills on the internet and keep in touch with loved ones.

Our professional and caring House Manager and her staff ensure that our premises are kept warm, comfortable and safe, and that meals provided are both enjoyable and nutritious, with some of the herbs and vegetables sourced from our gardens and all other produce bought locally.

The staff are on hand during day to offer support, and both Trustees and volunteers form part of this network of support for residents." Show less
