There are thirty ground floor and thirty first floor self contained flats. All flats have their own bedroom, living room, fitted kitchen and bathroom. The Almshouses provide security and residents are encouraged to make friends and share a wider social life whilst maintaining their independence. All flats have a new central heating and hot water system, which combined with full double glazing and insulation makes the properties very economical to run. There are also Smoke Detectors and ample raised power points. There is a guest room nearby that is available for use by family and friends.
There is a resident Warden who will deal with emergencies and maintenance problems. All flats are connected to the Emergency Alarm who provide an emergency response service outside of his working hours.
The current weekly rent charge is £105 per week (no service charge). Residents do not have to pay water rates and are entitled to a £7.50 per year concessionary TV Licence fee. The total rent qualifies for Housing Benefit and support costs are paid to us direct." Show less
