Show more "Situated in a peaceful spot close to the centre of Paddock Wood, Margaret Fisher House provides accommodation for up to ten residents in the main house and up to four people in the modern self-contained apartments built alongside the home.The warm and welcoming home comprises a spacious lounge and dining room and well-maintained gardens. In the main house, residents have their own ensuite bedrooms with a small kitchenette area. The semi-detached one-bedroom apartments each have an open plan living and dining area, a kitchen and wet room.
The apartments provide independent living for over 55s and bespoke fixtures and fittings ensure the home is suitable for people with disabilities. Whilst the apartments are entirely self contained, residents are welcome to join those in the main house for activities. In the main house, residents dine together at lunch time and for their light tea, they prepare their own breakfast.
The housekeeper takes care of the communal areas and residents maintain their own bedrooms. The home has a good network of volunteers who dedicate their time to the residents, organising a range of activities and days out for residents from boat trips and cream teas to quizzes." Show less
