Show more "The Jesus Hospital Charity in Chipping Barnet, has been in existence for over three hundred years, being founded in 1679 by local benefactors, James and Mary Ravenscroft.
The Charity has grown considerably over the years, from the original endowment, which provided six Almshouses for “poor and ancient women” to where we are today. We now provide fifty four almshouses in the Chipping Barnet and Monken Hadley areas.
All residents are provided with a separate kitchen and bathroom and most have their own bedrooms and lounge. They also have their own little areas of garden and all of our sites are set in lovely grounds.
Our residents are expected to be able to live independently, and to demonstrate a pressing reason to move from where they are currently living." Show less
