Show more "Set in the heart of Warkworth, Abbeyfield House was built in 1850 and is a stunning listed building constructed from yellow sandstone. The house was previously an old vicarage and became a part of Abbeyfield in 1985. Some renovation work has been done over the years adding bathrooms and a large laundry room. There are nine en-suite flats in a variety of sizes which are unfurnished; a blank canvas for you to bring your own furniture and personal belongings to create your new home from home.Abbeyfield House overlooks the River Coquet at the rear and St Lawrence church at the front. There is a bus stop close to the house with good links to Alnwick via coastal routes. There are lots of shops, places to eat and pubs with an active community. We are next to Warkworth Castle, a tourist attraction which attracts people from around the world.
We have a lovely quiet lounge area which overlooks the river, residents enjoy relaxing here and looking out at the beautiful views. There are gardens surrounding the house which are perfect for sitting out on a warm day and ideal to take a stroll in the grounds.
We have many activities here with social evenings and strawberry teas. We organise an outing each month with volunteers which is very much enjoyed by all of our residents.
Abbeyfield Living Society is a trading name of The Abbeyfield Society." Show less
