All flats have their own individual entrance off an internal corridor for added security. There are ground floor apartments for those with mobility need and first floor apartments accessed via a lift.

Merlin Lodge is located by the edge of Southampton Water (Weston Shore). The cruise liners and ferries leaving Southampton can be seen on this stretch of water from the scheme. Southampton City centre is a ten minute bus ride away over the Itchen Bridge. Southampton has lots of eateries, a large shopping complex (West Quay) and cinemas and a theatre where shows from the West End are performed. There is a ferry terminal in Southampton and ferries going to the Isle of Wight and Hythe leave and return regularly. The Picturesque New Forest can easily be visited by rail or bus and takes around one hour.

When you’re a resident in one of our Retirement Living schemes you’re provided with a level of support that enables you to remain living independently however, living in a Stonewater property is different to residing in a general needs property. All Retirement Living residents receive the following as part of their tenancy with us:
• A community alarm service for out of hours support (managed 24/7)
• Housing-related support which assists residents to remain independent at home. Our Service Delivery Officers are available to signpost residents to other agencies as needed to help sustain independence.
• Effective housing management and tenancy sustainment services – our Service Delivery Officers can act as mediator between Stonewater, assisting with housing services Eg rent or problems with neighbours
• Low level support services that provide improved health and wellbeing.
• Health and Safety building checks." Show less

"The scheme has really good resident engagement. The residents hold a weekly drop in session where there are crafts, games, quizzes held. They have coffee mornings, evening meals and parties. The residents really look out for each other, particularly the ones that are vulnerable. This is a happy scheme." Show less
