This aims to provide high quality accommodation for older people. North Ayrshire will benefit from new, state of the art, sheltered housing and many existing homes will be refurbished.As part of this, Montgommery Court has been demolished to make way for a new £4.8 million complex, anticipated to be finished by November 2016. Jointly funded by North Ayrshire Council and the Scottish Government, the facility will include 16 one-bedroom homes within a new Sheltered Housing Complex and an additional 8 two-bedroom amenity bungalows.
The complex has been designed by our architects in partnership with Housing Services, the Health and Social Care Partnership and Stirling University’s Dementia Services. An application for formal accreditation, from the University, will be submitted at the end of the project.
To support independent living, the complex will be modern and accessible with communal areas, a guest bedroom and landscaped courtyards.
