Comfort, companionship and security

Living at home can become harder as you get older. But choosing to move into supported living accommodation doesn't have to mean losing your independence. In fact, many of our residents tell us it feels like a new beginning.

Show more "Located in the main street of the village of Sowerby, The Limes is ideally situated within short walking distance of Thirsk Town Centre where you can access bus services and travel to nearby towns and cities such as York and Ripon and Easingwold. We are an excellent starting point for visiting the coast and other nearby attractions such as Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall. Thirsk also has a railway station on the main line which is 10 minutes away from the Limes by car for travel further afield.

Our high quality purpose built accommodation provides four larger units and eight single units, all of which have ensuite facilities, a small kitchenette and views over the garden or the Hambleton Hills. The rooms are unfurnished for the comfort and convenience of your own things around you. There is a lift to all floors which has recently been refurbished and all rooms enjoy an alarm call system.

The Limes offers you a warm and friendly welcome in a peaceful and caring environment. We want all our residents to feel completely at home, and having treasured possessions and photographs with you quickly helps to settle in.

We enjoy activities such as talks, themed meals, and quizzes and the occasional trip to local garden centres and like any excuse for a celebration. Our private garden has a new summer house which is perfect for getting out of the sun or sitting in on colder days and just enjoying the view." Show less
