Comfort, companionship and security

Living at home can become harder as you get older. But choosing to move into supported living accommodation doesn't have to mean losing your independence. In fact, many of our residents tell us it feels like a new beginning.

Show more "Situated just outside of Caerphilly town centre, Abbeyfield House is a retirement home offering sheltered housing for older people. It has been adapted to accommodate the varying needs of later life. Our Victorian home has nine private en-suite rooms, including shower and toilet, and has been lovingly remodelled to provide supported housing in a family setting.

Our rooms come unfurnished to allow you to bring your cherished and personal items to make your room feel like home. Most of our rooms also have a small kitchenette space so you can make breakfast for yourself at your own pace or light refreshments and drinks throughout the day. One of our rooms is larger, which allows space for a couple looking to live together.

Find companionship and make new friends in our communal lounge/diner, where you we all like to come together to share delicious home cooked meals, socialise, join in activities or just relax.

We have a wonderfully large, beautifully maintained garden with summer house, extensive decking area and even a bar for those gorgeous summer barbeques which are hosted by our House Manager, Julie, and her whole family. While away the hours in the sunshine reading a good book, get to know other residents or spend time relaxing whilst you enjoy a bit of peace and quiet." Show less
