The criteria to apply for this housing is people over 55 - or younger with a physical or mental health issue which staff can assist with.

Places for People Later Life can usually provide support to people with various problems including visual impairment/ hearing impairment/ low to moderate memory problems and mobility problems. Each person is individually assessed for their needs, and each person would be assisted to find alternative support if their needs were found to be too high for independent living.

Each flat has a door entry system, free built in Wi-Fi, and emergency pull cords which are situated in each room. AMIE pendant alarms are available for residents who require them. Our on scheme Housing and Wellbeing Advisor is on site Monday to Friday 8.00am - 3.45pm to support you with sustaining your tenancy, safety and wellbeing. Outside of these times you can contact our support centre 24 hours per day and this team will deal with any emergencies outside of working hours if any of the emergency cords are activated.

There is an attractive en-suite guest room which is available to residents' family/ friends at a cost of £10.00 per night for one person or £15.00 for two. There is a room and an outside area for keeping and charging mobility scooters. A lift is available to all floors. All areas are accessible by wheelchair.

Rivington House benefits from a lovely garden area which residents are encouraged to help with if they wish to. Rivington House is situated right in the heart of Horwich town centre, within walking distance of a variety of shops, cafes, doctor's surgeries and pharmacies." Show less
