Show more "Westhay Court is a collection of one and two-bedroom flats for over 55s in Nottingham. Suitable for single applicants and couples, set within a private and secure location, with excellent communal facilities and well-landscaped gardens designed specifically for people aged 55 and over.

Properties at Westhay Court benefit from a fitted kitchen, comfortable sized bedrooms, a well-proportioned living area, level access bathrooms with either a wet room facility or bath, gas central heating, UPVC windows and a pull cord emergency system.

The scheme has fantastic outdoor space with two enclosed communal gardens and a large garden to the rear of the complex. Westhay Court has a relaxed sun lounge where the residents can choose to use computers, read a book or watch films. There is also a large communal lounge that hosts a number of activities throughout the year such as coffee mornings, bingo, games afternoons, 'Knit and Natter' and a film night once a month.

There is a laundry facility onsite which is free to use. In addition, we have a hairdresser who visits the scheme on a weekly basis. There is plenty of resident and visitor parking on the scheme. For peace of mind, there is a secure door entry system and CCTV around the complex.

Central to the success of our Independent Living service is our friendly and experienced scheme manager, Julie Douglas. Julie is responsible for ensuring your home is safe, secure and well-maintained. She can offer advice on managing your health and well-being, and ensure you are getting all the income you are entitled to. She will also help you take part in social and recreational activities, both within the scheme and in the local community. Julie's working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm." Show less

"I have lived at Westhay Court for 19 years, having moved into the complex 3 years after the loss off my beloved husband. I could only describe this move as a total lifeline to me, at what was a very difficult time in my life. As soon as I moved into my flat I felt safe, and was secure in the knowledge that if I should ever need assistance it could easily be summoned and this gave me great piece of mind. Our complex is a wonderful community and over the years I have made many friends and I have many wonderful memories of happy times spent together. At the centre of our community is our scheme manager, Elayne, who is my most dear and trusted friend and for whom nothing is ever too much trouble, we would all be lost without her. I live completely independently, in my own cosy and comfortable flat but should I ever want company, I only have to pop down to our common room, where I am always assured of a warm welcome, a coffee and a chat, which brightens so many of my days. I only wish there were more complexes like ours, I personally feel they could be the answer for so many older people who seek to live happy and independent lives." Show less
