Show more "Elmgrove House provides studio apartments and specialist support for a wide range of needs for 14 older people to live in a community setting. Residents live in studios, equipped with en-suite facilities. Residents can choose to dine in the communal dining area for breakfast, lunch or supper, or in their own home. Or they may prefer to cook for themselves in their own flat or get support to do so.Elmgrove house boasts a well-established garden and various other communal spaces where residents and their visitors can relax, socialise or take part in organised activities. There are fully-equipped and comfortable communal kitchens and lounges on each floor, and easy access to a laundry room.
In-house wellbeing activities are led by an activities officer who visits weekly and works together with staff and residents to develop a programme. Activities are delivered in partnership with external organisations, such as OPEN Age and Ladder to the Moon.
Elmgrove House activities vary and have included weekly yoga, reading groups, music, cookery and crafts, curry and film night and hen keeping. There is also the opportunity to join a range of groups at the nearby Elgin Close Resource Centre, which offers door-to-door accessible transport and lunch service." Show less
