Show more "We launched our pioneering Flexicare housing service in December 2011 at Tabor Court, which was one of our original five sheltered schemes in Letchworth Garden City.
Flexicare, sometimes known as 'extra care' is an innovative housing option that enables residents to continue living independently in their home, rather than having to move to a residential care home.
It’s a really good option for people who wish to plan for their future care needs, because it offers a place to move and grow into, rather than somewhere to go at the point of crisis.
Tabor Court has a scheme manager and an on site 24 hour care team. The scheme manager is available Mon- Fri 9am – 5pm and is there to respond to emergencies during office hours, manage your changing needs, offer practical support and help with things like benefits and finances, assist with social activities, manage health & safety, security, help you to maintain your independence, and giving you a voice to make your own choices.
The care team are available throughout the day to help with all aspects of personal care, meal preparation and medication. They will also encourage independence and assist you with socialising within the scheme.
Residents pay their rent and service charge which covers utilities and communal services. Care charges are assessed on an individual basis by social services." Show less
