At Oakeswell, we offer purpose-built rental properties for people over the age of 60 or over 55 if you are in receipt of PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or DLA (Disability Living Allowance).Each flat consists of a good size kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom suitable for a single person or a couple, with a 24-hour alarm service if ever you have an emergency. The scheme also benefits from a Door Entry System for increased security. Oakeswell is built on beautiful grounds and even has its own 'well'. It also benefits from a wide variety of groups and activities taking place during the week including Bingo, Afternoon Tea, Coffee Morning and regular resident-led evening entertainment. Other facilities include an on-site laundry (with both washers and driers), communal garden with seating area, and communal parking, including disabled parking bays.
Oakeswell is a 2 minute walk to Wednesbury town centre, which has a number of shops there is a large Morrisons supermarket and a local outdoor market that is held twice weekly, which is a 5-10 minute walk away. There is also a GP and dentists, a local library across the road and a new leisure centre within a 10 minute walking distance. The bus stop is located outside the scheme and we are also are within walking distance of the Bus and Metro Station.
