The building comprises of 22 self contained apartments comprising 12 Studio and 10 one-Bedroomed units. There is an on-site laundry room, lift access and communal gardens with small patio area. Highfield House benefits from a 24 hour emergency alarm call system providing active support, response and reassurance at the point of need, and the accommodation allows tenants to remain living independently within accommodation of their own choosing.

There is a large community room onsite, where regular social activities are planned and take place for residents, and where residents can themselves are welcome to organise any additional informal activities or arrange to meet for coffees and chats. The building is within walking distance from some local shops and has transport links to the main shopping facilities of Farnworth where there are a wider variety of supermarkets, shops and amenities.
