The two-bed apartments will enable individuals, couples and family members to remain living together even when care is required. This type of scheme is not available elsewhere locally.The scheme is designed to be dementia friendly providing an environment that will enable people to move freely inside and out, whilst being safe and secure. Careful consideration has been given to design features such as colour, maximising daylight, and landscaped gardens.
Activities will be facilitated on-site including exercises, sensory activities and get-togethers to encourage social inclusion and support to carers. Residents will also benefit from current up to date assistive technology, CCTV and video door entry systems so that maximum safety can be maintained." Show less
