Show more "Resident areas of the Home provide a choice of five lounges including quiet lounges and family rooms for more personal gatherings, and two dining rooms. On the ground floor, cinema facilities are provided for film matinees. There are two passenger lifts and two fully equipped hairdressing salons, one on each floor. Wheelchair-friendly access is a feature of the building design.The generously sized bed/sitting rooms will be a third larger than the minimum standard. The bed/sitting rooms are wheelchair friendly and complement the provision of excellent standards of care. All bed/sitting rooms are equipped with nursing beds with pressure mattresses. The bed/sitting rooms are also fitted with a telephone point, internet access and, for entertainment, they are equipped with a flat screen television with digital TV channels.
Each bed/sitting room has an en-suite shower wet-room – toilet, washbasin, shower cubicle. Residents can enjoy relaxing baths or showers in our modern bathing facilities. These and other areas have advanced disabled handling equipment with staff trained in their use to ensure residents’ comfort and safety.
On the ‘Terrace’ ground floor, a number of premium rooms will be available with direct access to their own patio area and all the remainder have windows positioned to provide a view for a resident sitting in a chair." Show less
