Dell House will care for up to 60 elderly Residents in modern but homely surroundings, with facilities such as café, shop, cinema, family room and bedrooms with direct access to gardens and first floor garden terraces. Robert Blackham explains: “This is a big step for our little company, but, as a team, we can compete our service with the larger corporate care providers.
“We have commissioned a wonderful interior designer who has a real understanding of the needs of the elderly, but not forgetting it is a person’s home, with little touches such as wood-burning stove effect in the lounges to give a cosy feel.
“We have put a lot of thought into the design of the home and Tom Ground, the architect who also designed projects at our Moorings and Manor House homes, has created a beautiful home with a wonderful palette of materials that will set it apart from the usual care home design.
