The Tudor buildings are Grade II* listed and are in a conservation area.In 2012 with a new, dynamic body of trustees it was decided to look at adding four additional almshouses. The new buildings were to be energy efficient, well insulated and provide modern kitchens, wet rooms, lounges, and bedrooms. The new units were to face the back of the old Tudor buildings with a courtyard garden in between encouraging a community spirit amongst the residents and providing a traditional form of almshouse."
