Show more "Evans’s Cottage Homes is an Almshouse charity that provides housing for single women over 60 years of age. The accommodation is located at Evans Gardens, 30, Lodge Hill Road, Selly Oak Birmingham B29 6NQ. Applicants who wish to live at Evans Gardens must be able to live independently and they must have a connection to Birmingham (preference is given to those residing within five miles of the City of Birmingham).There are 26 one-bedroom Flats on two floors. There are13 Flats on the ground floor and 13 Flats on the first floor. The Flats are divided into 6 Blocks. A stair lift is available for residents use. Each Flat has its own separate entrance with a telephone entry system to let visitors into the building and a call line system for use in an emergency. CCTV operates across the site and an access barrier is in place at the entrance to the site.
Each Flat has one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Residents of Evans Gardens have access to a laundry, communal lounge, communal dining room, extensive gardens and weekly social activities. The monthly charge for the accommodation includes central heating, water and a TV licence.
The operations manager is non-resident and is on site Monday to Wednesday and available in an emergency outside of these hours.
Evans Gardens is a no smoking site. Assistance dogs are welcome.
