Built in partnership with North Tyneside Council, Weetslade Court comprises of 51 apartments and is a modern, safe and social place. In a leafy suburb with good bus links into Newcastle upon Tyne and Gosforth high street. The local high street is approximately 5 minutes’ walk away, there is a bakery, florists, coffee shop, co-op, bookmakers, handyman’s store, hairdressers, Barbour’s, beauticians and a local pub.

Residents have a pendant which they can use to call the onsite staff in an emergency, they also have access to a number of assistive technology options such as door sensors, enuresis sensors for those who are incontinent, pressure sensors so that staff know if someone has got out of bed or out of a chair, activity monitors in the apartments and fall detectors for those who are at high risk of falling.

Residents who rent their apartments will be assessed as needing a package of care from social services, each package is individual to the resident and this will be delivered by the onsite care team.
